• Practice creating your own JSP using the Oracle JDeveloper By Example tutorial Building Your First JavaServer Page (JSP)
• Learn about JDBC by creating your own Java classes that use JDBC, following the Oracle By Example tutorial Performing SQL Queries Using JDeveloper and JDBC
• Learn about the MVC design pattern by reading the Wikipedia entry "Model-View-Controller" (just the introduction and the Pattern Description is enough). In addition to this, it is illustrating to read the JDeveloper online help about Model 1 versus Model 2.
